“I experienced three great things that changed my life in art. First was my learning experience in art school in the U.S.; second was going to Europe where I found the freedom to paint or study what I wanted; and third was in the Amazon where I found the spiritual joy and peace in myself. 

I was born to be an artist, there was no doubt about that since I was a child. Artists are born not made. Color fascinated me. The first time I saw Matisse, Cezanne and others from the Impressionist Period I was enlightened and that was the signal of going fully and becoming a colorist.”
